Genetics and Personalized Medicine
The Women's Health Research Institute invites you to our special Women's Health Week research forum featuring Elizabeth McNally, MD/PhD.
Since the first human genome was sequenced 15 years ago, there has been a revolution in human genetics. It is now possible to determine a human genome sequence for close to $1000 and personalized genetics is becoming a reality. With technical advances and lowering cost, human genetic information is becoming a critical source of information to guide health care and life choices. This talk will discuss this new genetic technology with focus on who should be considering genetic testing and what they can expect to learn.
Date: Tuesday, May 10, 2016. Time: 12:00-1:15PM, Prentice Women's Hospital (250 E. Superior Street), 3rd Floor Conference Room L South.
Please arrive early to ensure a seat and a light lunch.
