On Tuesday, November 20th, Dr. Suzanne Harrison (Florida State University, Immediate Past-President of the American Medical Women’s Association), will visit Northwestern University to deliver a special lecture at the Women’s Health Research Forum co-hosted by the Women’s Health Research Institute and Women’s Faculty Organization. Dr. Harrison is a board-certified family physician who is nationally recognized expert in intimate partner violence, child abuse and human trafficking. She is an advocate for women’s health, an exemplary medical educator, and a champion for women in medicine. To this end, Dr. Harrison has received numerous professional accolades including induction into the Gold Humanism Honor Society, the Hippocratic Award from Florida State University College of Medicine, multiple teaching awards, and AMWA’s Exceptional Mentor Award.
